Science Fair (2004)

I wanted to know if it was possible that the Renaissance Painters used a camera obscura to achieve realistic perspective. I built a camera obscura, which is an optical device that projects an image onto a 2-D surface. I wanted to see if, as an artist, I could achieve better perspective, easier, by using the camera obscura while building it out of materials that would have been available to painters during the Renaissance.

Jason Colloquium(2004)- Junior and Senior Outstanding Narratives Colloquium

spoke to an audience of over 1000 at the Florida State Science and Engineering Fair in Jacksonville on the topic of Nuclear Fusion of hydrogen as a possible energy source.
speech highlighted that a variety of energy sources need to be developed
