Kirksdale: Behind the Camera is a behind the scenes documentary of the MFA Thesis Film "Kirksdale." Florida State University's MFA program chooses 5 directors each year to make a graduate level thesis. Ryan Spindell was chosen in 2006 for his idea for the horror film. Ryan and his producer Justin Ross started the film Kirksdale with the goal of creating a horror film that either steers clear of the "cliche horror film" or plays on the cliche to create something new.
